If you are looking for a book by a particular publisher, advance order items, statues and busts or sale items this is a good place to start. Some of our most useful catalog tabs are:

When do you charge my credit card?

For orders that only contain In Stock items your credit card will be charged at check out. If your order contains Advance Order items your credit card will be charged 1-3 days before an item is shipped.

Why is credit card the only option of billing at the time of release?

Our system is designed to capture credit card balances just before shipping. Our system is not designed to automatically notify customers of outstanding Paypal, check or money order balances.

How do I receive free shipping on my order?

You will receive free shipping on orders that meet the following criteria:

1. The order total is above $99.00 of merchandise that is free shipping eligible and all items ordered are in stock.

2. The order total is above $99.00 of merchandise that is free shipping eligible and you have selected 'Save on shipping by grouping all my items into one shipment' during check out. This will group both In stock items and Advance Order items to reach the free shipping threshold (this can also be used for just Advance Orders).

Free shipping eligibility is displayed in the detailed product view of each item. Most books will be eligible for free shipping and most statues and busts will not be eligible.

Is it safe to use my credit card?

Tales of Wonder software is hosted in IBM e-business Hosting Centers, complete with multiple Tier 1 Internet connectivity and advanced security features to provide the highest level of security, speed and stability. No customer has ever experienced an incident regarding the security of our website.

Can I cancel an order?

Tales of Wonder special orders many of the items that you order through our website. If you would like to cancel an advance order there will be a 20% restocking fee to cover the administrative costs of cancelling the order. If you have placed an order for advance order items that you would like to cancel, your credit card will be charged 20% of the sale price. Please do not place orders for merchandise you are not certain you would like to purchase. If you would like to cancel an order contact service@talesofwonder.com.

How long does it take for my shipment to arrive?

Most in-stock orders are shipped in 1-3 business days. Most orders are shipped via the US Postal Service and are shipped Bound Printed Matter or Media Mail. The US Postal Service estimates 5-10 business days for delivery but this time frame is not guaranteed. Some lager orders and most statues and busts may ship via UPS. Most UPS orders are shipped Ground which generally takes 3-5 business days.

How many days must pass before a package is considered lost?

Our policy is wait 30 days until after the item is shipped before we consider the item lost in the mail. The US Postal Service does not quarantee transit times for Media Mail and Bound Printed Matter but they estimate between 5-10 business days. A package is rarely lost in the mail but in most cases of delay the package did not take the most direct route to its destination. If it has been 30 days since your package was shipped email us at service@talesofwonder.com.

What if one of my items is delayed on an order that is grouped for shipping?

If an item is delayed for more than 4 months after its original release date then Tale of Wonder will ship the rest of your order.

How do I track my shipped order?

Once your order has shipped you may view your tracking number in your account. All shipments are sent via US Postal service and UPS and tracking information is usually available the next business day after the package has been shipped. You may check the status of your shipment at www.usps.com or www.ups.com with the tracking number that is Emailed to you after every shipment. You may view the tracking information on your order from our home page by following these steps:

1. In the top right side of the home page, click on Track My Order.

2. On the 'My Account' page, enter your Email address and password.

3. Click on your Order Number.

4. The Tracking Number will be listed along with the details of your order.

5. This will take you directly to the shipping carriers website for detailed tracking information. Your order could show 'Shipping Soon' or 'Being Processed' for 2 to 3 days before you receive a 'Ship Confirm' message. This means that your order is at our warehouse being prepared for shipment.

We now offer gift certificates. Gift certificates are redeemable toward any product on our site. To give a gift certificate all you need is the recipient's Email address.

Can other people view my wish list?

Other people can not view your wish list. Your wish list will only appear when you are logged into your account. Your wish list is intended for you to view items that you are interested in but have not yet purchased.

My order has Advance and In Stock items. When will my order ship?

You have different shipping options at Tales of Wonder. You can choose to have all of your items ship together when they all become in-stock by selecting 'Save on shipping by grouping all my items into one shipment'. My complete order will ship after everything is available? during check out. You can choose to have your in-stock items ship immediately and your advance orders ship separately when they are released by selecting 'I want my items faster. Ship them separately as they become available' at check out.

What if my advance order is delayed or cancelled by the vendor?

Should the publisher/vendor decide to cancel an advance order item, you will be notified by Email. We will try to keep you updated on late products with the most current expected shipping information available. Should the item ship significantly beyond its original expected ship date, you have the option to cancel your order.

What is your privacy policy?

Any information provided by the customer at TalesOfWonder.com will not be distributed, sold, or rented to any third party. We may, however, use the information to supply you with information on future promotions for TalesOfWonder.com. Should you prefer not to be notified just send us an email at service@talesofwonder.com, or reply directly to any email from us you may receive, and you will be promptly removed from our distribution list.

What if an item is incorrectly priced?

Tales of Wonder reserves the right to change pricing at any time. You will always be given the option of canceling your order. Occasionally a publisher will change a price of an item after it has been solicited or there is an inadvertent data error by our staff.

What does "Mature Readers" mean?

Mature Readers is a designation imposed by the comic publishers. It indicates a title with adult themes such as violence, sexual situations or adult language. Such comic books should be treated as an 'R' rated movie would. Please be aware, however, that some items may be considered 'mature' but have not been marked as 'mature readers' by the publisher. When in doubt about the nature of an item, you can email us at service@talesofwonder.com and we can give you more information about the product.

Does TalesOfWonder.com sell "Adult" products?

No. TalesOfWonder.com does not offer titles or products of an X-rated nature. However, there are some items that are intended for adults. The publisher generally labels these as 'Mature Readers' and this designation can be found in the item's description. Please see the "Mature Readers" section in the paragraph above for more details.

What comic books are appropriate for children?

TalesOfWonder.com believes it is the parent's responsibility to determine what is appropriate for their children to read. However, we understand the difficulty in finding the time to review all your children's material. While TalesOfWonder.com cannot possibly review every title and issue for appropriateness, some of the publishers follow their own guide of good standards.

The Comics Code Authority (CCA) was created in the 1950s to help establish a standard for comic books and help parents in their purchase decisions. You can read the CCA here. Not all comics are submitted for code approval. So, just because it does not have a CCA stamp, does not mean it is inappropriate for children. However, any code approved comic has been submitted to the CCA and has passed their standards outlined in the code. Two primary publishers regularly submit their comics to the CCA. They are Archie and DC. Please ask TalesOfWonder.com if you would like to know if a particular book has been code approved or not.

Other publishers do not regularly submit the comics to the CCA nor do they offer their own internal code of standards. This does not mean they are unacceptable for children, however, as a parent the responsibility lies with you to make the appropriate decision for your children. Each comic offered at TalesOfWonder.com has a description of its content. Use this as a guideline. The 'Mature Readers' designation in the description is meant to warn buyers of potentially adult content including violence, sexual situations or adult language. Treat these comics as you would an 'R' rated movie. Some imprints are also geared more toward mature readers. Many independent publishers (those publishers other than Archie, Dark Horse, DC, Image and Marvel) often deal with more adult themes. Also, DC's Vertigo imprint is largely meant for mature readers.

This is not meant to be all inclusive, nor is it meant to remove parents from their responsibility. It is a guideline to help you make a more informed decision. If you are unsure on a comic's suitability for young readers, do not buy it or ask TalesOfWonder.com for clarification of the story content. There are many comics that are suitable for young readers and can be a great tool to teach young children to read. A comic that holds their interest can broaden their vocabulary and expand their imagination in ways only reading can. Read with your children and remember to have fun!
